Our Disappearing Planet are thrilled to have awarded our inaugural grant to the World Land Trust

The World Land Trust is an international conservation organisation dedicated to taking direct action to save rainforest and other habitats which are in jeopardy around the world.

We have awarded our grant to the World Land Trust in support of their urgent and ongoing purchase and protection of critally threatened areas of forest habitat in Borneo.

The parcels of pristine forest being purchased by the World Land Trust and their project partners in Malaysian Borneo are disappearing before our very eyes to make way for oil palm plantations.

So much of their forest habitat has been lost already that Orang-utans and other vulnerable wildlife including Pygmy Elephant, Malayan Sun Bear and Proboscis Monkey are running out of space in which to survive

The World Land Trust are working with local Bornean partner organisation LEAP Conservancy in an urgent bid to purchase and connect already protected forests to create larger, contiguous forest reserves to enable wildlife to roam freely forever.
